Human-centered design can help improve global health interventions in three key ways: 1) It focuses on understanding the needs of users and stakeholders to better plan for the introduction and uptake of new technologies and programs. This can help interventions achieve higher coverage more equitably. 2) The human-centered design process brings together diverse perspectives to generate innovations that may not be "game changing" but can still meaningfully improve outcomes. 3) A new framework called "IDEA TO IMPACT" provides tools and guidance to support better planning and coordination for scaling up global health programs from their early stages. This approach aims to maximize the impact and uptake of interventions.
