1. Dear Hiring Manager,
It is my pleasure to be a professional reference for Carlie Soule.
I hired Carlie in summer 2014 as a Reuve minion, an endearing term we call our interns. Immediately,
Carlie stood out as a leader, by taking initiative with many duties. She is self directed and instead of me
having to assign her stories to write, she went ahead and found stories to pitch to me. She ended up
writing many of those stories, with some going into print.
Many times, when I would go to ask her to do something, I was met with, "I already did it." Carlie
made my life easier at Revue more times than I could count. She was also willing to try any assignment
I threw at her for the sake of experience. I never heard any complaining and if she had any trouble, she
would always ask for clarification in order to make sure the job was done right.
As with all great leaders, Carlie has great communication skills. I always knew if she would be running
late, even if it was a mere 10 minutes, or if she had to switch her internship hours due to another
commitment. She always kept me in the loop and never left me wondering where she was. She also let
me know what she was working on and when I could expect to have it turned in.
Basically, I think Carlie is such a wonderful person. She's professional, sweet, kind and extremely
reliable. It's rare to find someone with all these qualities at her age. At the rate she's going, something
tells me I'll be working for her eventually.
If you have any other questions about Carlie or would like to speak with me further, please feel free to
contact me to follow up.
Thank you.
