WORK EXPERIENCE SENIOR EXPERIENCE DESIGNER
EchoUser, San Francisco, CA Mar 2013–Current
• Designed an e-ink display for a modular phone (Project Ara) to show contextually-
relevant, location-based information.
• Designed an innovative mobile communications customer support layer that would
work on any app, offering new ways of conducting customer service, such as filing an
insurance claim or getting a demo of a physical product in a retail store.
• Designed solutions to issues in the Juniper Security Director security management tool
that I uncovered in a comprehensive heuristic evaluation of the product. Prioritized and
delegated designs for the 200 issues to my team. Added design patterns for a design
pattern library we created, including the forms, calendar, and table design patterns.
Iteratively redesigned the UnifiedThreat Management feature of Security Director based
on research.
• Designed the ability to highlight and obscure content in the automatic screenshot that is
submitted along with feedback on any Google product. Redesigned the flow of sending
feedback and applied Material Design.
• Designed two new features for an internal content review tool that will result in higher
quality, more efficient reviews of flagged content.
• Designed a UX metrics dashboard for a health company that would show usability study
results to executives who are pressed for time.
• Designed a data-centric web app to help farmers make decisions based on USDA data
such as weather patterns and soil types.
• Led teams of up to 10 designers, researchers, and developers on client projects.
• Led and mentored designers and researchers on design, career path, wearables, and
client management.
• Explored ways to make the mobile gaming experience stickier, IFTTT IoT experience
more impactful, electric bike riding more appealing to a younger audience, and a
restaurant experience more memorable.
