to Italy and France in 1920, where it was a huge success

contemporary fashion and editorial features openly discussing sexuality.
•Vogue also continued making household names out of models, a practice that continued
with Suzy Parker, Twiggy, Penelope Tree, and others.

underwent extensive editorial and stylistic changes to respond to changes in the lifestyles of its

Cosmopolitan is an international magazine for women. It was first published in 1886 in the
United States as a family magazine, was later transformed into a literary magazine and
eventually became a women's magazine in the late 1960s.

•Cosmopolitan (cosmo) first published in 1886. It's
longevity is credited to it's constant evolving over the
years.
•In July 1965, Cosmopolitan turned from an antiquated
general-interest magazine into the most talked about women's
magazine in the country with this hot cover.
•Helen Gurley Brown, who was Cosmo's Editor-in-Chief until 1997,
changed the magazine world forever by giving women advice on
how to have the life they really wanted and publishing articles on
provocative subjects.
•It was the height of the sexual revolution and the cover of the
magazine began to show a lot of cleavage.
