1. Satire Lesson 08 Connecting
Literature and World Events
By: Carolynn Moreno
2. • I have chosen to do bullying and
discrimination. Bullying and discrimination is
very hurtful to people and it needs to come to
an end.
3. Looking For Angels- Skillet
I chose this song because it addresses the rise
of teen suicides and how they need to seek
help so it can be prevented.

6. Knives and Pens-
Black Veil Brides
• I chose this song because it’s
about being judged. In the
beginning of the song a guy
talks about observing people
wearing all black- making
the decision that they are
all the same. Verses like
“we tried our best, turn out
the light" means that their
putting them on the spot,
and to turn out the light is
saying everybody is the
same and there's no reason
to judge people.

9. It’s what’s on the inside that counts. People shouldn't
judge books by their cover
10. The Right To Love-
Blood on The Dance
Floor
• I chose this song
because it talked about
how we were born equal,
with equal rights and
it’s saying how love is
love no matter who loves
who and that there
should be no
discrimination.

• This has a satirical take because it makes it
look like bullying is contributing to society in a
good way. But in reality- it’s hurtful, and it
leads to depression and most likely than not,
suicide.
