A keen conscientious person work independently, yet part of a team. I am determined, approachable
and hard working, with an enthusiastic outlook on life. Calm under pressure and confident in nearly
every activity I undertake I consider myself to be an assett to future employers.
2001 – Present - Tablogix Ltd/iForce. IT Site Support analyst
During my time at Tablogix I began to learn I.T and am totally self taught. I was taken on as a WMS
support technician for the AWACS WMS Tablogix used. Tablogix was then taken over by iForce Ltd
which is a very strong contender in the E-Fulfillment market. I provide support for 9 different sites
around the United Kingdom working as 2nd
line support with the company’s helpdesk. I am also in
charge of, and train the company’s LITTS (Local I.T technicians) who work at all of the sites and are
used to assist to fix on site issues thus saving time with helpdesk calls and saving travelling costs etc.
This was a scheme I brought into the business.
Once a month I also visit each site to complete reviews with the GMs and LITTs reporting on any
site issues, concerns and updates which are fed back to our leadership team.
Working as second line support for the I.T helpdesk enables me to concentrate on more specified
tasks such.
• Networking, LAN mainly. (Adding VLANs, Management addresses and other basic configs)
to 3 com and HP procurve switches.
• Out of Hours Support. (Server disk drive cleansing, WAN Support)
• Printer configuration
• WAP control and monitoring using software to test signal strengths etc (Netstumbler).
• Active Directory, (User, PCs etc)
• Internet filtering control (Proxy Servers)
• Training LITTs (Local I.T Technicians)
• Purchasing and Budgets of I.T equipment.
• Video Conferencing
• Printer servicing and maintenance control.
• Basic UPS support
• Asset control and register
• Assisting and helping 1st
Line helpdesk queries
• Dealing with Suppliers
• IP Addressing for Site bench set up
I also assist with the project management of new tasks such as setting up new warehouse’s for new
clients such as Tesco, Sainsbury’s Boots and House of Fraser etc. This includes planning and
prioritising step by step stages to implement all workstations, Wireless Connectivity and networking
cabinets to enable a smooth opening.
2. 1999 - 2001: Tablogix Ltd. Senior Stock Controller
Based on the Milton Park Industrial Estate, Oxford employed initially as a Stock Controller.
Promoted to Senior Stock Controller within the year, responsible for a team of four stock controllers.
This involved strict management of forty clients, undertaking daily perpetual inventories, running a
programme of rolling stock takes and adjusting stock balances where necessary. This was managed
on the AWACs WMS, for which I became the subject matter expert on the site.
Seconded to the Saltley Depot, to carry out a stocktaking review, to address major stock taking
discrepancies of 45%. Managed the Independent Stock Review, with correction follow up and
reviewed processes and procedures, which resolved problem.
Seconded to Tablogix at Romford, to identify invoicing problems within the AWACS WMS system.
As a result of my investigations the company was able to recover a shortfall of £475k from clients
and within three months all arrears were paid. As a result, it was recognized and I was promoted
into my current IT position.
1996 – 1999: Bookers NDC Didcot PI Clerk.
Responsible for the strict day-to-day PI programme, that included an aisle-by-aisle check. This also
included monitoring, checking and reporting any discrepancies found to ensure the integrity of the
stock. As a result the stock level was correct to a minimum 98.95%.
This role heavily involved management and reporting to them with computerized reports giving
essential data.
1984 – 1996: Royal Air Force Supplier E8226769.
I served for 12 years in the Royal Air Force as a Supplier, which involved working within a number
of different logistic environments such as Clothing, Technical Stores, Fuels and Accounts. My
happiest achievement was working in the Falklands for 6 months.
I was also involved in the implementation and build of a brand new supply area for the Buccaneer
aircraft. This involved the procurement of all spares for the rolling stock, tool control and daily
transaction sheets. Stock control was both computerised and manual, therefore priority measures
were necessary to ensure the aircraft turnaround time.
Served 4 months in the Falkland Islands and worked with the Red Arrows at Abingdon for 3 months.
