SOCIAL MEDIA TRAINING
Welcome
I would like to welcome you to the Facebook training seminar. What you will learn
today will help you and your company to develop a distinct voice in the social media
world. When used right, this voice will allow you to interact, engage, promote, connect
and so much more with your followers. This course will take you step-by-step through
setting up your fan page, curating posts, scheduling your posts, interacting with fans
and their feedback, and finally creating posts worth seeing.
Goals
The goal of this course is to ensure your proficiency in running and managing your
Facebook business page. This training will show you how to efficiently manage the
time you spend on Facebook, what to look at and watch for while you are on
Facebook, and to be continually curating from the Internet and the world around you.
And finally, but most importantly, how to use Facebook to make money!
A Few Things to Know Before We Start
Really thinking about all the advertising to see around you will be very important. When
you notice advertising in your daily life ask yourself what made you notice it both
visually and in the context you saw it.
I define curation as always paying attention to everything I see on and off-line. The
who, what, when, why, where, and of what has got my attention. Then I figure out
ways to use the information in current and future projects. Here is the definition from
the dictionary: select, organize, and present (online content, merchandise, information, etc.),
typically using professional or expert knowledge.
Facebook uses algorithms and its own scale to rate what people find interesting and interactive.
Being aware of what Facebook Likes and frowns upon will give you the leg up on your
competition of what YOU should be curating!
