Ray Meier was named one of the “most expensive” lawmakers.
In 2005, the Syracuse Post Standard named Meier one of the regions “most expensive” lawmakers.

just six months.
Ray Meier cost taxpayers $315,822 over six months for office operations and mailings. That ranks him in the top five among

Meier used $37,000 of his campaign contributions to buy a new SUV.
Meier used $37,000 of contributions to his Senate campaign to buy himself a new SUV, which is illegal under New York

All this spending must be why Meier raised our taxes — twice.
In 2003, Meier co-sponsored legislation extending a one percent sales tax increase for Oneida County. Then, in 2005, Meier
increased Oneida County’s sales tax again, making the County’s sales tax the highest in the state.
