This document summarizes key findings from the 2010 IBM Global CEO Study, which interviewed over 1,500 business leaders. The study found that creativity was viewed as the most important leadership quality by CEOs. Successful CEOs encourage experimentation, innovation, and risk-taking throughout their organizations. They are also willing to disrupt the status quo and continuously reinvent their business models. To foster creativity, CEOs need to develop these skills across their entire organizations and encourage questioning of past assumptions. They are also embracing new forms of communication to engage employees and customers.
