Who we are
Crush is an independent, experienced digital agency. We are an in-house team of designers,
developers and marketers who are driven by our passion for the web and the endless possibilities it
offers.
We appreciate that not everyone is a digital specialist, so we won’t bamboozle you with technical
jargon and unnecessary phrases. Suffice to say, we’ll help you understand the web and what you
want from it, before creating a focused, innovative solution to meet your every need.
We first began trading over ten years ago but we still haven’t lost our shine. With a central office in
Edinburgh and offshore development in Poland, we’ve grown massively since our founding and
picked up a strong client base in Scotland, London and Europe.
We understand the web and we understand our clients’ needs; so together we can create dazzling
ideas that will maximise your presence online.
With our broad reaching experience and endless enthusiasm, we able to flexibly adapt to your
plans, be it website development, content management systems, e-commerce or e-bookings

What we offer
Web design & development
We’re not just about designing pretty interfaces.
As your developer, our task to capture your audiences’ attention no matter what platform they’re
using. To do this, we’ll examine your target market and what gets them excited then reinterpret it
on your site. We aim to create a user-friendly experience through easy navigation and a functional
layout. To top it off, we’ll add colour, branding and images for that extra sparkle.
Our technical wizards are specialists in PHP/MySQL, including the fantastic Codeigniter
Framework. They’ve worked with numerous other coding languages, to create great sites and apps,
so can give you personal advice about which is the best language for your needs.
All our websites are managed through our hand-crafted content management system (CMS),
allowing us to create bespoke systems, individually tailored to each client. The CMS will give you
complete control over your site content – so if you have any breaking stories or new team
members, it’s easy to update the site and tell the world your news.
eCommerce
We’ve created some fantastic online shops in our time. From sales to conversions, check out
processes to payment integration, data analysis and customer engagement, our experience is
second to none.
Whether you’re a start-up merchant, looking to sell online, or a seasoned trader, looking to expand
your existing revenue, we can help you develop and implement an online shop or booking engine.

Email marketing

Case studies
Aberdeenshire Council
Aberdeenshire Council asked us to create a bespoke events management system for their education
department. The department had no central, online way of co-ordinating their events so we devised
a dazzling online portal which they could use to book events and conferences. Because the council
are a government body, we had to instil a sense of professionalism that also reflected the council’s
identity.
The resulting interface is smart and easily navigated, suitable for staff with little experience of the
web to use. It supports the back-end processes for online booking and information, from which
council admin can export relevant conference data and
keep their delegates up to date with details of the events.
YMCA
YMCA Scotland has been online for years, but few people realised and those that did weren’t overly
excited by the site. So, they asked us to redesign and develop the site, to better reflect their position
as a leading youth work organisation.
The development was extensive and involved adding extra functionality such as an eCommerce
shop, donation links, members’ area and synching with Facebook, Twitter and other social network
sites. We also redesigned their back-end, which has given staff at YMCA more control over the
website, allowing them to easily update the site with news and events.
YMCA was a great case to work on, because it targets so many levels; from young people
themselves, to local authorities and policy makers. It had our team scratching their heads for a
while, but the resulting site reflects the charity’s wide
market whilst maintaining their key message.

RAFAEL is the founder and Director of
Crush. A highly experience business manager,
he’s got a good nose for sniffing out the most
innovative solutions in digital technology.
GRANT (BSc) is our Senior Account
Manager. A seasoned professional in the
digital and design industry, he acts as an
extension of our clients within Crush to make
sure we deliver beyond their expectations.
VICTORIA (MSc, BA (Hons)) fronts our
Business Development. Her background in
marketing and offline PR means she brings a
variety of copy writing and verbally creative
skills to the team.
SCOTT is the Online Marketing Strategist
and AdWords professional. He knows what’s
hot and what’s not when it comes to SEO and
PPC and isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty
with complex marketing strategies.
CHRIS is our Systems Administrator. With
over ten years experience developing web
applications, he’s our key man when it comes
to problem solving and a gold mine of
information on existing web technologies.
ANDY (BDes (Hons)) is our Senior Designer.
The combination of product design degree
and activity in the projects development
community has honed his creative skills to
perfection – he’s never stuck for ideas!
LUKASZ is our Lead Developer. Having
worked for companies throughout Europe,
he’s an experienced programmer who thrives
on tight schedule and complex codes.
TOMASZ is our Junior Developer. He has
worked on a wide variety of complex projects.
Using cutting edge web solutions, he skilfully
creates fast, optimised code for a great user
experience.
