4. A Unique Concept:
How did Cubitá come about?
• Cubitá is the name of a Pre-Columbian group that inhabited the area
along the La Villa river.
• We have chosen the name Cubitá to capture the spirit of the Azuero
region… for many the region with the greatest cultural heritage in Panama.
• The Cubitá logo was adopted from the design found on a vase made by
the Cubitá people.
