2. Introduction
We are in a new century of adult learners, and the
goal of educators and trainers is to be better
prepared in knowing how to work with the diverse
community of learners. A question we ask is how do
educators know what we are teaching is meaningful
and impactful on these learners knowing about
global diversity?

government entities.

common values, beliefs, and characteristics
Also, the size and composition of
populations according to diverse criteria

attainment, spatial distribution, etc.)

Politics: Candidates use demographics
to be able to campaign in their favor (i.e.,
age, sex, race, education have effects on
political preference and voting).
Globalization: If we know the population
trends around the
world, marketing companies may take
advantage: place factories
where there are younger people who can
work.
