9th Street Experience Hosts Open House Scavenger Hunt Explore 9th Street Businesses While Earning Prizes June 9, 2010 MINNEAPOLIS – (May 11, 2010) – Where is the horse at Palomino that you cannot ride, but is under your feet? What tempting fruit does W Minneapolis – The Foshay offer its guests as a gesture of hospitality and welcome? The answers to these and more clues can help earn free hotel stays, dinners, food, wine, gift certificates and more when the 9th Street Experience hosts its first Open House and Scavenger Hunt on Wed., June 9, 2010. From 5 until 7 p.m., the businesses along 9th Street in Minneapolis are hosting a neighborhood Open House and Scavenger Hunt. Following the hunt, from 7 to 8 p.m. there’ll be an After Party on Solera’s Rooftop where restaurants such as Manny’s, D’Amico Kitchen, Hell’s Kitchen, McCormick and Schmick’s and Solera, will offer complimentary tastings and specialty cocktails, as well as a cash bar. The event is free and open to the public. Participants are invited to begin the hunt at the Campbell Mithun Atrium (9th Street and Third Avenue) where they’ll receive a map along with a list of clues. Then they’re encouraged to visit as many locations as they’d like throughout the evening to find answers that will earn them raffle tickets for prize drawings later in the evening. In addition, they’ll be able to collect gifts, meet local business owners and get more familiar with the variety of shops, restaurants, hotels and other amenities that 9th Street has to offer. Drawings for thousands of dollars in prizes, including a grand prize of a $500 JB Hudson gift certificate, a free night stay at W Minneapolis – The Foshay and dinner at Hell’s Kitchen will be awarded at the After Party. Participating businesses include: Campbell Mithun Tower, D’Amico Kitchen, Haskell’s, Hell’s Kitchen, JB Hudson Jewelers, Le Méridien Chambers, Manny’s, McCormick and Schmick’s, Palomino, Solera, and W Minneapolis – The Foshay.
