                   
 A molecule is a collection of two or more atoms that
  have a neutral charge.

 An example of a molecule in Gatorade is Glucose
  (C6H12O6).
Ionic Compounds
               
 An ionic compound is a compound made up of a
  metal and non metal.

 The ionic compound in Gatorade is NaCl.
Chemical Formula of
         Glucose
            
 Glucose is a main ingredient in Gatorade sports
  drinks.
 The chemical formula of glucose is
      C6H12O6.
Balancing Equations
            
 The equation for the formation of NaCl is
   Na + Cl yields NaCl

   If you were making the compound Magnesium
    Chloride you would have to cross and drop to make
    the equation
      Mg + 2Cl yields Mg(Cl2)
Electrolytes
                    
 Gatorade replace electrolytes in the athlete’s body
  with electrolytes such as NaCl.
 An electrolyte is a "medical/scientific" term for salts,
  specifically ions. The term electrolyte means that this
  ion is electrically-charged.
Polarity
                     
 Polarity is the separation of charges through electric
  dipoles in an atom.

 The molecule H20 which is found in Gatorade is a
  polar molecule.
VSEPR
                    
 The H2O molecules in
 Glucose have the VSEPR
 shape of bent because it has 1
 pair of unused elections and 2
 bonding sites.
Intermolecular Forces
            
 Intermolecular forces are the interaction between
  atoms and ions.

 The H2O in Gatorade uses hydrogen bonds due to
  the fact that Hydrogen is bonded to Oxygen.
