The document outlines a 5-step plan for the author to achieve their goal of playing in the National Hockey League. The steps include gaining 40 pounds of muscle, learning how to fight on the ice, playing junior hockey to get noticed by college scouts, playing NCAA Division 1 college hockey where most players get drafted to the NHL, and ultimately signing with an NHL team. The author provides context and examples for some of the steps, and indicates they are currently playing for their high school and travel hockey teams as they work towards the goal.
2. My Goal: To play in the National Hockey League One Goal baby!
3. Step 1: Gain 40 pounds of muscle, or “Bulk Up” Essentially, I need to go from This to this
4. Step 2: Learn how to fight Not like street fighting, but fighting on the ice. Its not all about the strength of your shots, but the time that you throw them. Not quite. A little more dignified haha
5. Step 3: Play junior hockey Pretty simple, play for a junior hockey team and get noticed by college hockey scouts. In order to do this, I might have to take off college for a year… Here is Sidney Crosby playing junior hockey… probably somewhere in Canada
6. Step 4: Play NCAA D1 College hockey D1 college hockey is very competitive, most players get drafted straight from D1 college to the NHL. These are a few mascots for D1 college hockey teams.
7. Step 5 Sign with an NHL team!!! Obviously, my first choice is the Blackhawks, but signing with any NHL team would be a remarkable accomplishment.
