They are both contesting for the General Elections representing the Democratic Party from the COlombo District. Danuna Tillakaratne played an integral role in the General's Presidential Election campaign in 2010 and also has played an important, albeit silent role in furthering the political cause of the Democratic party since the party's inception. He too is committed to eradicate corruption, establish good governance and bring about economic prosperity to the motherland.

Brazil's progressive forces need to commit, starting from the 2024 municipal elections, towards to elect the maximum number of mayors and councilors committed to Brazil's political, economic and social advances. These are the conditions to prevent, in 2026, right-wing extremists from regaining the Presidency of the Republic, expanding their participation in state governments and the National Congress and putting their nefarious anti-social and anti-national project into practice.
