3. Natural Ventilation – Promotes air flow and eliminates the need for mechanical air systems, reducing energy consumption. Wind Harvesting Technology – 6 highly efficient, low speed wind turbines will generate 10-15,000 Kilowatt-hours per year, powering exterior lighting and contributing to energy savings.
5. Zipcar – Vehicle sharing company will feature 5 spaces in the Greenway Self Park Garage. This program allows costumers to reserve and borrow cars for hourly or daily use. Educational Plaques – Sustainable signage on all parking levels provides educational information on how to live green.
6. Bicycle Parking – Located on the first floor, parking will be available for roughly two dozen bicycles. This feature further promotes green lifestyles by encouraging the use of alternative forms of transportation. Green Roof – Aids in the reduction of urban heat island effects. The green roof will provide pleasing views from neighboring buildings and will also serve as an amenity for an adjacent apartment residence.
