 IATLIS Awards – Call for nominations <br />Indian Association of Teachers of Library and Information Science (IATLIS) invites nominations from LIS teachers / professionals / researchers for the following three awards:1. IATLIS – Motiwale Best LIS Teacher Award,2. IATLIS – Mrs. Ratna Laxman Rao Best Woman LIS Teacher / Professional Award3. IATLIS – Prof. S.P. Narang Research Promotion AwardEligibility for IATLIS – Motiwale Best LIS Teacher Award, and IATLIS – Mrs. Ratna Laxman Rao Best Woman LIS Teacher / Professional Award: Executive Council Members of IATLIS are not eligible to be nominated for these awards. The nominee should have at least 10 years of teaching experience at the post-graduate level or 10 years professional experience at a senior level, and should be in service. A person can receive the award only once and one person can nominate only one LIS teacher / professional at a time. Kademani, Scientific Officer-F , Scientific Information Resource Division, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre by the Society for Information Science (SIS). <br />This is in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the Library and Information Science field. Stephens, Vice President, Chemical Abstracts Service, Ohio, USA on 9th December 2009 in a glittering ceremony at CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune.Dr. Kademani is the recipient of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Fellowship in ‘Library and Scientific Documentation’ in 1991 at the Facinformationszentrum (FIZ), Karlsruhe, Germany and Vienna International Centre (VIC), Austria. He is also the recipient of ILA-Kaula Best Librarian Awrd-2008. He was a Standing Committee Member of IFLA’s (International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions) Science and Technology Libraries Section from India for the term 2005-2009.He has over 80 research papers published in national and International Journals, edited eight books and many compilations. He is also a referee to many national and international professional journals. His book entitled ‘ scientometric Portrait ofHomi Jehangir Bhabha: The Father of Indian Nuclear Research Programme’ was released by Dr. Srikumar Banerjee, Director, Bhabha Atomic Research centre, Mumbai on 30th October,2009 to mark Homi Bhabha Centenary Year Celebrations.
