Dr. Andrew White is an Associate Professor and Director of Research for the Faculty of Arts & Education at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China. In 2005, he conducted a seminar exercise with UK media studies students to study how students search for academic sources online. In 2007, he moved to China which enabled him to study how non-native English speaking students search in their second language. This research aims to help his teaching as well as contribute to the field. However, a pilot project on this topic ended in 2010 due to lack of resources. Dr. White remains open to reactivating this research project with dedicated lab space for students to complete tasks without taking up too much of the researcher's time.

In order to carry out a research project of this magnitude a
dedicated space is needed where students can log in and do the
tasks themselves without taking up too much of the researcher’s
time.
I am open to re-activating this research project not only in UNNC’s
digital media lab but on other Nottingham campuses too
