• Kompsat-5 data supported in their original format (*.h5)
for displaying, processing, orthorectification…
→ Can be imported as a pix file (PCI’s native format) for faster
displaying and processing
→ All metadata are imported from the original *.h5 file
→ The Orbit information is automatically retrieved and data are
resampled and projected on the fly in Focus

→ Real time Interpretation (display) of complex data as Intensity,

• Several SAR speckle filters are available
• Kompsat-5 data orthorectification supported through Toutin’s
model or Radar Specific model

12. General Land Use classification
• Different Kompsat-5 images acquired with different polarization
can be combined to improve Land Use classifications
• Many classification algorithms are included in Geomatica, both
supervised and unsupervised

• Coherent change detection based on intensity (CCDINTEN),
phase (CCDPHASE) or the Wishart distribution (CCDWISH)
→ Complex data: CCDINTEN, CCDPHASE or CCDWISH

• Change detection based on variably sized moving window/kernel
→ 3x3 to 33x33
