3. My philosophy of student affairs relates to
providing each student the opportunity to become
enriched with academic and extracurricular
activities that promote life-long learning.
Student affairs should embrace the concerns of all
students who are individuals no matter what their
cultural background or disability might be.
Student services should also promote
professionalism and wellness such as, good health
goals for all students.
The ultimate goal is to prepare students to be
academically, emotionally, and financially stable to
be productive students and change agents in the
community upon graduation.

A
Difference!
Working in student affairs gives you the
opportunity to assist students during very
important and critical time in their lives.
According to the Center for Student
Activities and Involvement, statistics
show that students who have a mentor
during college or are involved in
extracurricular activities are much more
likely to graduate than their peers that
are not involved and do not have at least
one mentor.
As a student affairs practitioner,
you can be that mentor that helps
change students' lives.
