For the optimal reduction of nitrogen oxide (NOx) in combustion gases (SNCR process) the existing NOx quantity must be measured as exactly as possible.
In thermal systems, particularly in waste treatment plants, not all combustion parameters can be measured directly. This means that the NOx quantity cannot be measured until the end of the process.
That is why ERC developed Opti-Link – a method that decidedly approaches the ideal of stoichiometric conversion of the reactant.

7. Flue gases pass through the waste treatment
plant and the post-treatment. Travel time
until the cleaned waste gas exits: about 5
minutes.
Waste gas values cannot be measured until
the end of the process. Residual NOx
and NH3
slip are available for adjustment of the SNCR
only after a delay.
