In an Eco Efficiency Analysis (EEA), the sustainability performance of a product is evaluated by comparing various scenarios. The focus can be on procurement, logistics, manufacturing, distribution and/or sales. An EEA provides you with insight into various financial as well as environmental effects of your product or service. This makes an EEA a powerful management application that can assist you in decision making processes. In cooperation with Teijin Aramid, producer of high performance fibers, Ecomatters has developed the Customer Benefit Model, which supports the performance of comparative EEAs in two phases. The first phase provides a semi qualitative assessment of the products and a “go or no-go” point. Phase two provides a quantitative model, which includes Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) data, raw material and energy prices, and CO2 taxes. This user friendly, yet powerful model is used by Teijin Aramid and its customers in their business-to-business (B2B) communication to analyse how product application can support the sustainability of the customer’s processes. The Customer Benefit Model has thus contributed significantly to the rise in sales. For more information about the Customer Benefit Model, please visit www.ecomatters.nl.
