THE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION

Industrial Revolution


The Industrial Revolution began in England in the early 18th
century.

Countries such as Germany, the United States and France joined
in this revolution.
Urbanization

Cottage Industry- A usually small-scale industry carried on at
home by family members using their own equipment.

There was a migration of people from rural to urban during the
Industrial Revolution.

Because there was unlimited jobs in the city.
Agriculture Revolution


Because there was more crops and more food to eat so people
started moving in. Which was the start of the industrial
revolution.

The practice of growing different crops in succession on the
same land chiefly to preserve the productive capacity of the soil.
Textiles

Steel was the first commodity to boom in the industrial
revolution.

textile-A type of cloth or woven fabric.

oil, iron ore, and coal helped the textile industry boom.

Eli Whitney invented the cotton gin.
Steam engine

George Stephenson was first man to create the steam engine but
James Wyatt improved it.

it was invented in 1775.

Because the steam engines made the process of making things
much quicker.
Bessemer Process

The Bessemer process was the first inexpensive industrial
process for the mass- production of steel from molten pig iron.

The inventor was Henry Bessemer

because steel was one of the biggest things in the industrial
revolution. It basically made the revolution.
Pasteurization


Louis Pasteur was a world renowned French chemist and
biologist.

he invented the germ theory and how to pasteurize milk.
Thomas Edison



Thomas Edison invented a vote recorder, lightbulb,and the
telephone.

Romanticism


Romanticism- A movement in the arts and literature that
originated in the late 18th century, emphasizing inspiration,
subjectivity, and the primacy...

Being that it was during the industrial revolution it progressed.
