Terms Definitions

(The word “accessibility” starts with an “a”, ends with a

alt tags An HTML attribute in the IMG tag providing alternate text
when an image on a web page cannot be
seen/displayed.
AUX Accessible “UX”

PWD Acronym for “People with Disabilities”
SEO Acronym for “Search Engine Optimization” – the process
of affecting visibility of a website or web page search
results.
sitemaps List of pages for a web site accessible to crawlers/users.
SM Social Media (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest)
SODA Sibling of Deaf American
UX Stands for “User Experience” used to inform design to
enhance user satisfaction by improving usability, ease of
use and pleasure provided in the interaction between
the user and the product.
