Overview
Ellie came to Makemedia fora week’s work experience from 7th April 2014.Makemedia are a digital
media agencybased in Brighton, offering a range of web developmentservices, as well as 3D virtual
tours and immersive training content. As a result, we could offer Ellie a variety of tasks related to her
course.
Tasks
Ellie helped initially on a numberofadmin tasks around the office, intended to meetourstaff and build her
confidence,butwe soon had herdoing some developmenttasks as she built a website over the course of
the week.These tasks covered:
 Design – including searching forappropriate images and manipulating in Photoshop
 Build and Development– including the creation of a site in WordPress and associated coding
 Testing and Bug Fixing – including testing the site on numerous platforms and browsers
 Deployment– going through the deploymentprocess to send the site live

Ellie was a pleasure to have around the office; she was bright, confidentand clearly very intelligent. I
