We’ll start by answering the question, what is value?
value the worth of something in terms of the amount of other things for which it can be exchanged or in terms of some medium of exchange. Here’s the definition of value from dictionary.com

In fact, it’s similar to this definition. You’re right.  We know it when we see it but we can’t define it. Let’s review You start with human motivations. . . Like wanting to communicate with friends. Or learning something new.
You provide them with a disruptor Like the phone. Or the printing press, or the internet, or Facebook.
The disruptor enables a new behavioral norm to emerge. Like the talking on the phone. Or reading, or surfing the net.
Which enhances their relationships with: time, space, people, objects, etc. With the phone I can talk to my friend anytime. Or see what Julie is doing on Facebook.

So, that’s what  the universal pattern of value creation is all about.
