black crows skis has announced today the appointment
of Éric Bascle as the new CEO effective on december 1st
Following a successful €3 million fund raising last June with private investors,
black crows is undertaking leadership change on the eve of the coming
winter season. The Chamonix-based company confirms its ambition to
grow in targeted markets and expand its product range: the North American
market and the launch of a new technical apparel collection being amongst
the top priorities.
Christophe Villemin, co-founder and President confirmed: « we are
delighted to welcome Éric as CEO at a turning point in our growth journey.
His relevant leadership positions and proven track record in the global
retail and textile industry will take black crows to the next level. We will be
building on our core values, combining creativity with performance for each
of our products ». Villemin added « I would like to thank Cédric Charbin for his
work over the last 2 years and wish him all the best for his next career step ».
Former executive vice President of the Lacoste group, Éric Bascle, 47 years
old, is an outdoor and ski enthusiast. As CEO, his focus is on respecting and
leveraging the equity of the brand: « black crows is a great brand with strong
values and identity. From day one and product one, they have been
embracing a genuine ski culture that is about authenticity, functionality,
and aesthetic. I am happy to join the story at this key stage and team up
with the founders and the talented professionals working within the
company. With solid fundamentals, we are committed to delivering
great products and a unique customer experience. »

​Founded in Chamonix in 2006 by Camile Jaccoux and Bruno Compagnet,
two professional skiers, along with industry leader Christophe Villemin,
black crows designs and markets equipment made for off-piste and ski
touring enthusiasts. The brand recently announced the launch of its first
technical apparel collection which will be for sale this winter in Europe and
North America. The company is growing strongly, with 10 full-time positions
created since 2012, and continues to develop in a responsible and
sustainable manner.​
