Raisio, a leading European food production company, develops
cattle-feed supplements that make milk production safer,
more efficient, and more environmentally responsible. These
innovative feeds, successfully launched to the Finnish Dairy
industry as the Benemilk® product line, are now poised for
international success through broader geographical licensing
and IP augmentation.
JOINT VENTURE AGREEMENT ENABLES GLOBAL REACH
To obtain the necessary expertise and global reach, Raisio
is working with Intellectual Ventures, a recognized world
leader in strengthening IP portfolios and marketing new
innovations. In ongoing partnership, they will seek to
leverage the value of Raisio’s core technology via Intellectual
Ventures’ global network of inventors and world-class patent
and licensing know-how. The April 2013 announcement of
a joint venture between Raisio and Intellectual Ventures’
Invention Development Fund transfers ownership of the
original invention to a new jointly owned Finnish company,
Benemilk® Oy.
ONGOING YIELDS, ONGOING INNOVATION
The agreement provides Raisio with continued success in
Finland along with the added benefit of introducing their
invention to dairy markets worldwide. And Intellectual
Ventures is also helping with the discovery and application of
complementary innovations to further promote safe, efficient,
and environmentally responsible food production.
