• The adoption diagram is it complete?
• The diagram is reflecting a US state of play,
what would the European diagram look like?
• Which are the heaviest obstacles in the diagram
in Europe
• Are there winners and losers in this game
or just winners?

Doctors, patients & databases
• Would it be possible that in PM present
generation of medical doctors would become a
‘Lost Generation’?
• What about patients and general awareness
• We do need some immense databases to enable
our doctors to diagnose patients with their laptops/
labs on a chip;
– Would technology allow this
– Would privacy allow us
– Who’s task is the funding

Technology, funding and
cost of health care
• In accordance to US Experts in PM, technology will
soon offer solutions to get to a break-through;
is that in line with European thinking?
• What about funding; are national governments and
the EU sufficiently convinced of the added value of
PM that funding keeps pace with progress... even
in this Time of Crisis?
• Will PM lead to an increase of cost efficiency and a
decrease in costs for health care?

EuroBioForum
• Convergence of several S&T disciplines is crucial
for PM to break through barriers and deliver its
present promises; is EBF in its present form the
right networking tool to [help] make all this come
true?
• Looking back for 10 years what should have been
achieved by now but hasn’t?
• What do you expect EBF to do for you and this
event, does it live up to your expectations?
