Sivuno Sekuthula Projects, (SSP) is a company registered in both Swaziland and South
Africa involved in the trading and marketing of fertilizer and fertilizer related products
having its principal offices located at Plot 417 King Mswati Ave, Matsapha East, Swaziland
and in South Africa at No 44, 41 7th
Ave, Parktown North, Johannesburg.
SSP forms a part of the greater Meridian International Group of Companies, registered in
Mauritius, by providing the vital services of procurement, trading and shipping of fertiliser
throughout the group.
Supplying fertilizer to the African region has been Meridian’s core business for a quarter of a
century. The focus of the group is the manufacture and distribution of fertilizer, coupled
with the trading of agricultural commodities in the African continent as well as
internationally.
The group traces its origins back more than 25 years and today employs over 7,500 people
responsible for the production and delivery of over 1,250,000 tonnes per annum of its own
production and imported goods throughout the region.
The group currently trades approximately 65% of all fertiliser into the region and with the
addition of a Sasol Phosphoric Acid plant has started the production of Phosphoric Acid and
MAP (Mono Ammonium Phosphate) stands to dominate the South African market a
2,000,000 metric/tonne per annum market.
Group Companies
Meridian Consolidated Investments represents a regional network of the group’s
international activities and home to SSP, which carries out international procurement and
marketing. Also located in Mauritius is Sivuno Investments (Pty) Ltd responsible for
providing international dollar based trade for the group, financial and logistics services to
the group and its related activities. The latter includes the chartering of vessels for shipment
of fertilisers and the overall responsibility for cross-border movement of goods, ensuring a
co-ordinated approach to the distribution of the commodities which are the life-blood of
the organisation.

“To create successful partnerships with customers through the reliable supply of fertiliser
products to our African and International markets by establishing successful relationships
with credible suppliers for the benefit of all stakeholders involved.”

 Group Turnover in excess of US$ 450 million (2012/13 Budgeted - $550 million)

Management and Ownership
Management – SSP maintain a relatively flat management style due to the rapid nature and
volatility of the fertiliser industry with efficient and astute decision making an absolute
necessity.
The company utilises the synergies the group bring with regard to finances, logistics
(personnel, warehousing, transport) and experience.

Goals and Objectives:
• Develop and sustain a parallel platform for the advancement and promotion of
agri-business and agricultural activity in the country.
• Promote in particular the growing, processing and marketing of vegetables,
fruit, specialized grain and pulses.

The Royal Swazi Trust
• The Royal Initiative in agri-business Trust is an embodiment of the Vision of Her
Majesty the Queen Mother of Swaziland to promote and uplift the standard of

Customer Base
Our Customers are well distributed amongst the African countries and fall into a wide range
of different segments from rural, small scale farmers to larger commercial farmers and
estates.
These buyers vary from individuals to cooperatives to large corporations and companies,
marketing boards, aid and development organizations as well as banks and
government/Sovereign agencies.
In Africa some of our customers include:

Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Internationally, SSP has supplied Urea and DAP/MAP fertilizer to a number of companies
supplying government tenders.
