Cookson & Clegg is a clothing manufacturer based in Blackburn, England since 1860 that supplies the British Ministry of Defence and other defense organizations. They hold two ISO 9002 accreditations and use advanced technology like CAD and industry-specific software. The company manufactures around 1 million garments annually between their UK and Romanian factories using state-of-the-art sewing machinery. 2. Quality Cookson & Clegg hold two ISO 9002 accreditations, one for our Blackburn factory and one for our Romanian factory. Work is in progress for ISO 9002. 2000 for December 2003

4. CAD From Lectra UK Computer Aided Design (CAD) from Lectra UK ensures fine design and technically correct patterns for accurate and repeatable cutting and production.
5. Industry Specific Software Sewing industry specific Xetal software from XEBusiness Ltd manages all contracts from their receipt, throughout production, to despatch, together with all the details of purchasing and planning production runs.

7. Cutting Room Four cutting rooms provide a steady flow of work, including specialised equipment for Vac Cutting of quilted fabrics.
8. Production The modern clothing industry requires high quality and volume production. We met the challenge with the establishment of our Romanian factory in 1994, whilst maintaining some production at our Lancashire base. We currently manufacture around 1,000,000 garments each year.

14. New Product Development - Webbing Cookson & Clegg (Bucharest) supply the Italian MOD with webbing and are developing their offer to DCIPT .
15. Commercial Production We manufacture garments for a number of other people. These include BAE, Ted Baker, KooGa, Cotton Traders, Fire and Ambulance services and many others

18. Truck Loading For The MOD All despatches to the MOD are packed in strong specially sized cartons, palletised, shrink wrapped and labelled for easy Bicester receipt.
