Mini-workshop questions (Kaisa)
Proposed areas:
– Environmental monitoring - air quality, water quality
– Renewable energy
– Urban planning - Energy efficient building (construction)
– Waste to energy - wider value chain perspective
– Finland has systematic and regulations know-how
– Pilot project together with "sister city perspective" (establish local pilot and then
replicate it)
What do we need to do (Team Finland)
– This visit as a kick-off for waste management
– We need references - big enough, up and running
– Real life pilots together with Brazilian and Finnish companies
– after the first pilots we can and should have more visibility
– Inviting Brazilian’s to come and see the real life pilot and/or show cases in Finland (Lahti,
Kalasatama, Espoo - we have a real life cycle to show showcases)
– Getting to know “Non Brazilian” key players already active in Brazil
