  6. 6. Some are reds and some are greens, Some stay quiet, some make scenes, Y’en a des verts, y’en a des rouges, Y’a les tranquilles, et ceux qui bougent,
  7. 7. Some say yes and some say no, Some will tell you where to go.
  8. 8. But underneath our different skin, The same heart beats, deep within. For brothers, sisters all are we, Meant to live in harmony.
  9. 9. It happened once in India, Six men from different lands, Were asked to solve a mystery By feeling with their hands. ll arriva qu’en Inde, naguère, On demanda à six aveugles, De résoudre un mystère…
  10. 10. They were taken to an elephant With blindfolds on their eyes, And asked to guess just what it was To see if they were wise.
  11. 11. The first approached the elephant And happening to fall Against his broad and sturdy side, At once began to call, “Oh my, I think this mystery Is nothing but a wall!” »
  12. 12. The second reached and felt the tusk; He cried, “What have we here So very round and smooth and sharp? To me it’s truly clear The secret of this mystery Could only be a spear!” »
  13. 13. The third approached the animal And happening to take The squirming trunk within his hands, Said, “No, you’re wrong, just wait! It seems to me the answer To our mystery is a snake!” »
  14. 14. The fourth reached out an eager hand And felt about the knee. “What could this wond’rous secret be? ’Tis very plain to me. It’s clear enough that what I feel Is nothing but a tree!”
  15. 15. The fifth who felt a waving ear, Said, “Even a blindfolded man Can tell what we have here; Oh yes, I think I can! It’s obvious this puzzle Is a great and mighty fan!” »
  16. 16. The sixth announced, “Please step aside!” As towards the beast he groped. “I’ll give you my opinion!” He confidently spoke. He grabbed the tail, and cried, “Aha! The answer is...a rope!”
And so these men with blindfolds on continued to protest; Each one thought that he was right, not listening to the rest. But if they’d worked together as a team in unity, They would have had a better chance to solve the mystery.
  18. 18. What a wonderful world it would be if the only thing we saw when we looked at others was love—the color of love. - Michael Roy
  19. 19. If you try to make your circle closed and exclusively yours, it never grows very much. Only a circle that has lots of room for anybody who needs it has enough spare space to hold any real magic. - Zilpha Keatley Snyder
  20. 20. If you approach each new person you meet in a spirit of adventure, you will find yourself endlessly fascinated by the new channels of thought and experience and personality that you encounter. - Eleanor Roosevelt
  21. 21. If you judge people, you have no time to love them.
