The current challenge
Current societies are progressively clustering
around megacities often located in hazardous
areas and hosting complex infrastructures 
the risk of huge losses (human lives,
infrastructures, goods, energy) in case of
geohazards has dramatically increased.
Impact on large settlements and their support
