About this lab
Continuation of a lab we had in Budapest (OH Summit
2013).
We will be using software, that currently is restricted
to a very small number of people outside Novell.
GroupWise code is not yet complete
What you will see, might not be the final view, or
functionality.
The code is quite good now, maybe still some debug
code within it
The code might fail.....It's still a work in progress

Administration
● No more ConsoleOne
● Web-based administration
● No more Directory dependency
● Can use eDirectory for User/Group repository
● Can use Active Directory for User/Group repository
● No more directory schema extention needed
● Can populate email address to a connected directory
if needed

Administrative Interact with
GroupWise
● GroupWise Windermere comes with a ReST based API
for administrative tasks
● Allows developers to quickly build small tools/batch
programs to manipulate with GroupWise
● No more need for an installed GroupWise client
● Tools can be run from anywhere, on any device, despite
it's operating system

Installing GroupWise
● Go ahead, and install GroupWise Codename
“Windermere”
● You can find it /install or /var/data/install
● subdirectory gw...
● ./install.sh
● Please accept all default values suggested

Using the new admin interface
● Create at least 5 users
● After creation, set a password, and use oh2013
● Create at least two distribution lists
● Remember to add some users as members
● Create at least one resource
● Logon with the GroupWise Client, and check all is
well
