During my time as an industrial shop fitter I have had the chance to work for

The past ten years of my life. They have shown me things I never thought I
could do and taught me things I never thought I could learn, I have been

4. KNOWLEDGE AND INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT
THROUGHOUT THE COURSE
Throughout the course I have taken on board alot and have had a real
insight to how the industry is in this present day and how these farms are
produced developed and commissioned
•Working At heights was a real eye opener due to the high risk factors of
injury that can occur
•Sea survival and how to manage cold shock if ever having to evacuate from
the turbine to the water
•First aid and how a split second decision by yourself can help change or
even save some bodies life
•Health And Safety that is Involved within the sector and how it comes
before everything
•Communication skills are key as team working is always going to play
apart in the industry
5. PREPERATION FOR EMPLOYMENT INTO
THE TURBINE INDUSTRY
To prepare for employment in the industry you will need to do some of the
following to really be able to achieve your goal of becoming a Wind
Turbine Technician or equivalent of:-
•Map out the sector and find some job roles/positions that interest you
•Find out how you come about applying for the job
•Find out what qualifications you need to apply
•Do you need certifications if so which ones
•Write up a CV and Cover letter aimed at the industry
6. PERSONAL EMPLOYMENT ATTRIBUTES

What I have achieved within the employment road to a successful career as a wind
turbine engineer to date, is I have decided on what job roles I am going to be aiming at

The steps I am going to take to seek employment within the wind turbine
industry and use my knowledge gained through Maersk Training to better
myself in the future will be as follows
