Rečica is a village near Karlovac and Zagreb in Croatia with around 1200 inhabitants, known for its over 200-year-old Church of St. Ivan Krstitelj, Castle Drašković where 19th century poet Janko Drašković lived, and many well-preserved wooden houses over 200 years old, including one converted to a museum. It has a primary school for 135 students aged 7 to 14 across 8 classes, and cultural organizations including a folk dance group called KUD Rečica and a tamburitza orchestra that promote local heritage.
