PROFILE: People-centred, Consultant with 20 Years Change Management experience in Retail & Hotel, IT,
Telecoms & Manufacturing, sectors in Russia, Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, Holland and Sweden as well as the
UK. Has spent 15 years, as Interim Manager as well as running consulting projects in most European countries for
clients, from IT to Restaurant companies. The key factor in the success of these Projects has been the identification and
development of key staff, coaching, and personal development of individuals who can then take the project in house and
ensure its success.
SELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS
Developed Finance function, controls, procedures and reporting for Russian subsidiary of Kingfisher plc based in
Moscow. Planned expansion from 0 to 48 sites within 5 years

Delivered growth of German owned PC company from £30m Turnover to £300m+ inside 2 years, exceeding all
corporate targets for Profitability, Cash Generation and Measured Product Quality.
Identified weak link in Swedish Telecoms company performance as the poorly performing Finance function. Planned
and implemented a major overhaul, recruiting high calibre staff and developing improved IT and Billing systems and
reports. Result: Function supported 50% annual growth for next 3 years with negligible staff turnover
Specified and Implemented integrated IT system, costing £2.5m, to manage 200+ Retail outlets, Production facility
and Logistics. Result: Delivered accurate, real-time information to management, saving 10 days each month.
Developed and delivered improved Finance and Administration functions in 8 sites in Europe for manufacturing group
to support major investment in factories and plant. Implemented SAP system across European Group. Result:
Management information available by WD 3, 5 days earlier each month than previously.
Established new Property development company in Moscow, Arranged Funding, set up Financial Controls and
Procedures, set up Legal structure including Cyprus based companies, evaluated all potential acquisitions and projects.
Result: Company up and trading within 6 months of conception, owns $400m of assets.
Analysed reasons for success of 10 outlets in North of England and evaluated potential for countrywide rollout.
Persuaded Board to back expansion. Result: Now Whitbread plc’s most successful retail concept with 250+ outlets and
10 years of £25m p:a investment.
Devised expansion strategy for Swedish Telecoms company, Turnover £100m, in UK based on partnered Broadband
and B2B services. Result: Company investing £10m p:a and delivering 50% p:a Turnover growth.

2. Raised £23m Capital in the City to buy chain of pubs and hotels from 2 separate vendors, negotiating purchase
contracts and lease transfers with Property owners, mostly Financial institutions.

Successfully completed a number of Board level, high profile Change Management assignments, based in Europe,
working principally in Russia, France, Germany, Switzerland and Italy, but also Sweden, Spain and Holland

2007- Now – Finance Director,RPGF Management ltd, Moscow. Start-up property development company building
Shopping centres and Retail Parks in Russia. Set up Legal and Financial structures, recruited staff, established systems
and controls.
2006 – 2007 Finance Director: Castorama Russia Ltd, based Moscow.
Specified and delivered Finance department, systems, procedures and staffing to support rapid rollout of Kingfisher
concept in Russia from zero to 48 stores in 5 years. Planning, Funding, liaison with Russian tax authorities. Planned
and built a Property Development company to provide stores to kingfisher from larger land plots. Put together a JV
between Kingfisher, Property Funds and a local building company.
2003 to 2006 : Management Consultant establishing Human Resources Consultancy serving High Tech companies in
Europe; Establishing an Internet Bourse for Technology Transfer; Converting a leading Internet Music site into a
profitable business.
2001 and 2002 to 2003: Management Consultant then Interim Finance Director of a new Pub Company
An assignment for the Investment arm of a major UK bank to plan and establish a new Pub/Restaurant company.
Negotiated Financing and Purchase of 33 outlets. Implemented new EPOS system, improving GP by 1.25%.Established
Financial Controls and Reporting, cut Labour Costs by 4%. Recruited Finance Team. Managed professional
relationships.
2001to 2002: UK Quoted IT company (confidential). Project to develop new Budgetary control system.

1999 to 2001: Scapa Europe, £170m T/O: Change Management project to restructure Finance and Admin function
of European group with 8 Finance Directors & 96 staff across 10 locations in Europe. Defined new strategy including
£8m SAP implementation. Introduced new Transfer Prices complying with US and EU regulations. Cut Debtors from
£11m to £9m. Developed new control processes with US and parent company.
1997 to 1999: TELIA AB, Management Consultant, then Interim F.D based London and Stockholm
Hired by Board in Stockholm to trouble-shoot their subsidiary in London, develop the Strategy and institute Financial
Controls & Profit improvement. The new strategy was based on partnered services for Broadband and e-commerce
solutions. Developed channel strategy; recruited and developed Finance function, specified and implemented new Billing
system for Telia UK and Telia North America, refinanced company with £25m Share Capital. Investment Appraisal for
major Switch investment, new property, Fibre Link in London at a total cost of over £10m.

Restructured Fashion Group in London, in preparation for Trade Sale
Developed the structure, reporting, systems and controls for newly Publishing Group in London.
Established a new Finance function and controls for I.T. Distributor in Germany.
1994 through 1996: ESCOM UK LTD, Managing Director, based Germany, Holland and Scotland
Hired to Develop the UK subsidiary of largest European PC Manufacturer & Retailer. Planned and Managed growth
from £30m to £315m, 24 to 232 outlets, selling PCs & Communication Hard-&-Software. Recruited Finance and IT
Departments, implemented £2.5m integrated IT system. Introduced controls, procedures and reports, managed
relationships with Banks, Insurers, City, Logistics and IT Suppliers.
1990 to 1994: SEEBOARD PLC – Electricity Company - Senior Manager, Corporate Finance
Prepared Prospectus Forecast for £300m IPO, restructured the Seeboard Electrical Retail business, then its Electrical
Contracting Division, implemented integrated IT system, cost £750k. Worked with JV partners to deliver infrastructure
project for Channel Tunnel costing £11m.
