3. Description Of My Job.
My job requires me to:
• Work with and assist the
director.
• Create new ideas and help
manage the rest of our

actors and the place we’re

• An example of my job, would be me working
with Gledis to ensure our production looks

we’re filming on certain days.

• I have all of the necessary qualities to do this
job, as I’m well organised, and have had good
experience at working well with people.
• I’m also very creative, and have the ability to
develop good, new ideas when necessary.

able to ensure success at my job and be an
adequate First Assistant Director.

• For this job, I need good technical skills and
excellent listening ability, as I’ll have to liaise
with the Director of Photography.

filming angles and be able to follow
instruction.

• An example of my job, would be me setting
up the camera in the area with the most
suitable lighting.

• I have a very steady hand, which will ensure
that any handheld camera usage will be
steady.
• I will also make sure I’m familiar with the
filming equipment so I know how to properly
use it whilst I’m filming.

My job as the director of
photography is to make
everything that is shot visually

• To make sure I'm successful in this project I
will have to communicate efficiently and spot
this that may be out of place and fix them.
• I must also pay attention to detail in what
seen to be the easier things i.e. lighting,
emotions

As a camera operation I will have to …
- Know how to work and use a camera
- Listen to direction and advice on how to shoot
the scene

This means at different times with my job of
Director of photography I will also be able to film.
This is not a fix job but will be shared between the
four of us in the group.
To make sure I'm successful I will do what is
required above and also be patient to put my all
into this project.
16. My Job Description!
As I have taken the role of the director I will be the main
person in charge of how our opening sequence is put together
and should look.
I will be responsible for overlooking what everyone is doing
and the scripts and I have to be able to create new
spontaneous ideas if something is not working.
I must be able to set the mood and have a visual idea of how
things should look in the opening sequence. This includes
camera angles and mise-en-scene
I will also have to instruct the first assistant director
(Abigail) and work together with Director of Photography.

• Directing each scene of our opening sequence ensuring
that all cameras, props and actors are in their rightful
place.
• Being able to spontaneously come up with a new and
more fitting idea if an obstacle occurs.
• Ensuring that every group member does their job to
the best of their ability.
• Making sure that Every scene is shot.
• Ensuring that the lighting is appropriate for every
scene.
18. What I will do to make sure I’m successful at my
job…
To ensure that I am successful I will:
•Make sure every scene is set to match the script perfectly
and all props have been placed accordingly.
•Make sure everyone is on task and is doing their job
properly and sufficiently.
•Make sure the camera angles are set accordingly with the
shot list.
•Make sure all group meetings are organised suitably and
appropriately and all group members show up.
19. Description Of My Job.
• As a camera operator, I’ll have to follow the
instructions of the First Assistant Director and the
Director Of Photography.
• I’ll also have to have a good understanding of the
equipment I’ll be using.
20. Camera Operator-Examples of My Jobs…
As one of the camera operators I will have to:
• Ensure that all camera angles match the shot
list and script of the opening sequence.
• Be able work with the camera.
• Make sure that all camera movements are
appropriate for the message being conveyed to
the audience.
• The camera is fully re-charged before shooting a
scene.
21. What I will do to make sure I’m successful at my
job…
• Ensure that I shoot every scene that I am in charge
of.
• Handle the camera with care.
• Be able to come up with alternative camera angles if
something does quite fit with a scene.
• Be able to listen to the ideas of others.
• Show up to every single group meeting well equipped
and on time.

PICTURE AND DESCRIPTION OF MY JOB
• Art Directors are responsible
for the art department budget
and schedule of work.
• They help the production
designer to maximize the
money allocated to the
department.
• Art Directors are expected to
start work up to 4 to 5 months
before shooting begins but on
low budget films 8 weeks may
be sufficient.
• Art Directors analyse the
script to identify all props or
special items that may require
longer lead times.
• Art Directors weekly meetings
with the accountant are key to
this process.
25. WHAT I WILL DO TO MAKE SURE THAT MY JOB
IS SUCCESSFUL
• Firstly, I will make sure that all costumes and props are
ready for wearing on time.
• Secondly, I will pay much attention and take records of
props and costumes positioning which means that I will
always have paper and pen/pencil to write.
• Thirdly, I will restock props and costumes if needed,
which means that I need to make sure the money used
is within the budget.
• Fourthly, I will make sure there is enough props supply if
the scene is to be reshot again.
• Finally, I will make sure that I use the appropriate props
and costumes for the shooting.
27. DESCRIPTION OF JOB
• A cameraman is responsible to
assemble cameras before and after
shooting
• A film cameraman operate a film
camera while taking orders and
receiving instructions from the movie
director or its director of photography.
• A cameraman records images for film.
• They are also involved in the planning
of shots and their rehearsals with the
actors.
• Camera operators also choose the lens
and camera angles required by the
scene to be filmed.
