6. Methods & Techniques
Start off with a good description - matching your
other social profiles
Use one hashtag within your profile as this is
searchable
Use a professional (recent) picture that matches
your linkedin profile.
7. A Good Description
● Should explain what you do
● Should explain what you want
● Include Hashtags & relevant links
9. Methods & Techniques
How to engage with someone?
● Use their handle - @Stefamini
● Use hashtags #within the tweet
- The hashtag will get noticed more if its in the middle of the
tweet.
- The handle will get better traction if placed at the beginning of
the tweet.
10. Methods & Techniques
@handle at beginning of tweet - Only both your followers (mutual) see it on
their feed. Considered conversational.
Placing a DOT before the .@handle - this will show in theirs and
your followers feeds - THIS IS THE ONE TO USE IF YOU WANT TO GET
NOTICED!
NOTE: It’s important to know that this last trick is only for when you @mention
people in the beginning of your Tweet. Tweets with @mentions elsewhere do
not work in the same way, so don’t go around putting periods before every
person you @mention.
11. Methods & Techniques
Always Engage on Twitter - Start a
conversation
If someone Tweets you, always reply.
Tweet & thank your new followers - saying “Nice to
meet you” will get you a long way in the Twitterverse.
