9. Demonstrate your Green Seal certification:
Our Certified Mark can be printed on labels or
directly on product packaging --- but these
graphics must be displayed on or in association
with the certified product.
Prior to using the Certified Mark, review the
Green Seal Graphics Guidelines. We are happy to
email this manual if you no longer have a copy.
10. For your distributors and retailers:
Promote your green lines with graphics that tell customers they carry your Green
Seal-certified products in your warehouse, on your truck and in your store aisles
• Promote the sales of certified products on distributor uniforms and vehicles
• Drive traffic down the aisle with attention-grabbing point-of-sale materials
For Service Providers:
Let visitors and customers know that they use green products.
11. Demonstrate your certification at events:
Poster Options:
• Portrait
• Landscape
• Two-sided tent
• Three-sided tent
Our poster headlines include:
“Only the Leaders are Green Seal
Certified.”
“Works for the planet. Works for you.”
“Healthier, Safer, and More Sustainable.”
And we’re happy to help you customize
these posters.
12. Share your certification with your staff:
“Our company is an environmental
leader in the US.”
“Our certified products are greener, safer, and healthier.
Look at the Green Seal standard to learn how the life cycle of
our product has a lower environmental footprint.”
Why…?
Employees are more likely to be
satisfied with their jobs if they work for
a company that is perceived to be
environmentally responsible.
- According to a study from the Charlton College of Business at the University of Massachusetts. Cassandra Walsh and Adam
Sulkowski.
A greener company makes for happier employees more so than does a more valuable one: a regression analysis of
employee satisfaction, perceived environmental performance and firm financial value. Int. Environ. Rev., 2010, 11, 274-282
13. Host an educational webinar for your staff:
We deliver webinars for your staff focusing on:
The background and significance of Green Seal – the leading US
product ecolabel
Green Seal’s standard development process
The steps taken during the certification process
And the benefits – how your product is greener than most others on
the market.
Schedule this webinar twice each year to make sure
that new employees are knowledgeable.
Bonus Points~!
Make the most of this training by including a Q&A quiz with rewards.
14. Display your Green Seal in your lobby and office:
Consider ordering a plaque from Rivanna Designs:
* Forest Stewardship Council-certified
recycled wood, sustainable
packing, and responsible shipping
practices.
To order:
Email greenseal@rivannadesigns.com
Or call 866-748-2662
15. Remind your community that your company is a
leader in sustainability…
Press Releases:
Use talking points or our template to celebrate certification anniversaries:
“We’ve maintained certification for X number of products over the past X years
showing our firm commitment to sustainability and transparency.”
Social Media:
Green Seal will re-post your green successes on Facebook and
Twitter.
Keep us informed about your news and we will be happy to
share it with our communities.
