9. Use of se - Double Object Pronouns When both the indirect and the direct object pronouns begin with the letter l , the indirect object pronoun always changes to se . The direct objct pronoun does not change. Él le compra unos zapatos a ella. Se los compra a ella. Les mandamos la blusa a ustedes. Se la mandamos a ustedes. It is often necessary to use “a + name” for clarification when you are using se .
