LITERATURE
   Pablo Neruda: famous poet,
    Nobel Prize winner in literature
    his collection “Twenty Poems of
    Love and a Song of Despair” .


   Gabriela Mistral: famous poet,
    was the first Latin American to
    win the Nob el Prize, her best
    know poems are: Piececitos de
    Niño, Balada, Todas Íbamos a ser
    Reinas, La Oración de la
    Maestra, El Ángel Guardián,
    Decálogo del Artista and La Flor
    del Aire.
MUSIC
   Cuenca is Chile most famous
    dance, Folk music represent the
    three different zones.
   “La Nueva Canción Chilena" (The
    New Chilean Song). In the mid-
    1960s appeared singers and
    composers such as Ángel, Isabel
    and Violeta Parra that began
    playing in Santiago, popularizing
    Aymara and Quechua music.
   Electro-music is nowadays very
    popular. Chilean DJ’s such as
    Ricardo Villalobos have gain
    international popularity.
   Rock is also very popular.
CHILEAN CUISINE
   Seafood: due its coastline
    Chile is famous for its sea
    food:
   Paila Marina it’s most
    popular dish.
   Cazuela de ave ( chicken soup
    with two piece of meat,
    potatoes, green beans, rice or
    noodles)
   Curanto en Hoyo (fish, clams,
    potatoes and some meat)
   Empanada de pino ( typical
    turnover filled with diced
    meat, onions, olive, hard
    boiled eggs, baked in earthen
    or plain over.
SPORTS
   Soccer (Futbol) the most popular
    worldwide sport and practiced by
    Chileans from all economic
    backgrounds. In 1962 Chile host
    its first World Cup, which they
    finish in third place, (Brazil were
    the Champions).
   Marcelo Salas, Ivan Zamorano
    are Chile most recognizable
    players.
   Skiing due its location in the
    Andes skiing has became
    popular.
   Surfing its coastline is famous for
    great waves. Its possible to surf
    all year long water temperature
    average between 15 to 20 degrees
    Celsius.
