2. Once upon a time in South America there lived a not too big, not too small but a medium sized armadillo. Thisparticular young armadillo by the name of Alex was an adventurous armadillo. But you see, Alex never ever left his burrow without his mother, so he never really had an adventure.
3. One day his mother went out to find some fruit and nuts for Alex’s breakfast as usual and came back one hour later. When she came back Alex whined, “Mummy, can I go outside and play?” “No!”, said his mother firmly. “No you can’t”. “But why” asked Alex. “I have an armour as strong as steel to protect me? “You just can’t Alex, you know it’s dangerous out there and you could get hurt. Just promise me you will never go out there alone, complained his mother. “Yes mum”, mumbled Alex.
4. The next day when Alex’s mother went out with the other armadillo mothers to catch some grub for Alex’s breakfast. Alex ignored his mothers words and snuck out to his friend Amy’s place. Amy is the same age as Alex and luckily Amy’s mum just left to find food.
5. “Alex, what are you doing here, your meant to be in your borrow?, Asked Amy. Well the fact is that I’m not but you need to follow me’’, said Alex. “But why”, asked Amy nervously. “I will tell you on the way there”.
6. Alex took Amy to the river and he explained his dream of an adventure there. Then on the other side of the river in between the shadows of the trees with a glimpse of an eyethey saw hunters.
7. They ran the opposite way but the wind pushed them into the river and the two swam for their lives. Luckily for them armadillos have a strong dog paddle.
8. When they finally made it to shore they ran as far as their little legs could take them for half an hour without stopping!
