Assignment: Project Reflection
Question 1: Describe your tasks in the Shining Rainbow charity Project.
In this Project, all third-years student from four classes have to gather around and work together
to develop and implementation an event to raise money for charity. However there are around
four hundreds student so we have to divide into several department which responsible for
different task in the project include Organization, Marketing, Sales…etc. Based on my personal
experienced and knowledge’s, I choose to take part in the Organization group. My group
responsible for develop plan, build and decorate event and sales boot.
Although we are in the same group, but not everyone task is the same. Some people will make
plan and other will carry out that. Our group creates a close group on Facebook for online
meeting and announces news and task that my group need to complete. My task begins with
purchase tool and material for group to build and decorate sale booth for the Sale Group which
have main products is Event Ticket, Event T-shirt and Decorative Plant. Different product we
will build and decorate different boot for that type of product. In the process of building sale
booth, I to take part in and together we build four booths for the Sales to start selling product in
the next day.

2. However, not only build the boot, I also come and support the Sale group on the first day to set
up the boot and to see if they need any kind of modify for the booth and help selling product and
tickets as well. I also help Sales Team and Marketing Team to share the information about the
event on Facebook and by personal relationship to raise the awareness of the event around my
community. On the day of the event, I help develop and prepare the stages for the concert and
talk show of the event. This process include make contact and purchase paper weight for the
event and prepare other necessary requirement. I also continue support the Sales Team to open
Food and Drink booths for the first time. When the Event is finished, I together with many
members from various Teams clean up the remaining of the Event and dismantling the stages
and booths for the school.
Question 2: How do you feel when joining the project? What knowledge and skills did your
learn through running the project?
About the project, in my personal opinion this is the great project. This is the first project that
four classes have to work together for one event. Although it make this project more difficult
when I have to work with new friend but it help me gain more experience and skills in real
world.
This project in the basic is the combinations of effort of every members of ITEC which make me
feel very energetic and excited when I have the change to put every skills and knowledge I have
in use and contribute to something amazing like this charity project. It different when doing
separate class project, in Shining Rainbow I have to make contact and communicate with new
people that I don’t know before. This make me experienced real life situation that very helpful

3. for my future when I graduated from University and step into the real world. The purpose of the
Project is also one of the reason I like this project the most when I know that all the profits that
come from the effort of every members including me will be used for charity and helping the
poor children to have their warm food and a place to sleep. This make me feel helpful that I help
the community and many people who need our help.
Beside all the benefits for the poor, this project also put my skills into practice and develops
more skills during the process of the project. Communication is one of the most important skills
that I have been practice in this project when I have to talk and work together with new people
who I don’t know as well as them. We have to communicate with each other to understand each
other in order to become effective in working together. Adaptability is also the skills that need
for this project when I have to flexible to adapt new situation and changes during the process
when many problems happen and slower the operation. This is actually not surprise when this is
the first time I doing the project is this scale and mistake and problems is the things that cannot
avoid.
Question 3: What will you continue doing for society after the project?
Although this project only last 3 weeks but the knowledge’s and experiences it’s provide will not
be forget in the future. This project help me to understand what is the real world experience and
working with diversity. This project also show us there are many people are living in very poor
condition that need our help even just a little.
In the future, I plan to doing more project like this, not just to raise money but also raise the
awareness about the poor in the society that need our help. In the modern World, everybody is

4. too busy to notice there are still many people had to sleep on the street that doesn’t have anything
to eat. Together even not raise any money to help them but make other know about them, it will
also be considered a success. In order to help people first I need to become a person who has the
ability in finance and knowledge. However, I need to develop and learn more skills and gain
more experience if I truly want to help other.
Even though these action will only able to help a small amount of poor people exist in the
society. Only through education to change the point of view and the way of thinking of people,
we will find a way to help all of them out of the poverty. They need to know why they so poor
and they need to get up on their own feet and only education is the tool to achieve such things.
“Give a man a fish he survive for a day, but teach he how to fish he will survive forever”. No
matter how much we help them, if they don’t change themselves they will stay poor forever.
