Describe your reading

1. Me as a Reader My earliest memory as a reader is when…………. My dad would travel a lot for work and one day he got me Peter Pan. I remember not being able to read the words so, I would make it up and always imagine my-self as Tinkerbell Phoebe

2. Me as a Reader I prefer to read realistic and historical fiction. When I was younger I loved fantasy. I still do now but I don’t read t as much. At the moment I am reading A Gathering Light. It is made up but is based on a true story from 2000. Caitlin.

3. Me as a Reader When I was in Grade 2 I read my first novel. Dread Mountain from the Deltora Quest series. I loved it so much I read all the other ones! After that I was put off reading, so I read comics but it didn’t work Ferris

4. Me as a Reader When I read, a movie of the book is playing in my head as I read. Sometimes I stop reading and think about the book for a minute. This helps me get a better hold of the book I am reading.By Sam

5. Me as a Reader When I read I mainly visualise everything: the scene, characters, feelings and movements. I visualise so that I’m not just reading words off a page. Some other strategies I use are: comparing and contrasting, self questioning, and predicting. By Poppy.

6. Me as a Reader I like to read interesting articles in the newspaper, but most times I hate the newspaper. I sometimes like magazines. Magazines about fashion I absolutely hate. I don’t mind comics. Its just when I was young I didn’t get much comics because I wasn’t into comics. By Ariel
