Hear Women
Honour, Equality and Rights
Our Vision
 A world where all women are treated with honour, feel
empowered to speak up for their rights, can maintain their dignity,
have economic independence, are free from fear, become leaders
in their community, find a voice to be heard and are treated as
equal partners around the world.
Our Mission
 To raise awareness and act as platform to elevate women’s voices
in an effort to empower them and ensure achieving equal human
rights is achievable and not a dream too far. Hear Women is a
project led organisation which acts as a catalyst for all women to
positively change their lives through campaigns, advocacy and
bringing together stakeholders to enhance their capacity for
collaboration.
Who We Are
 HEAR WOMEN is an international NGO based in London, UK with
offices in North, and East Africa. We work with governments, leaders,
businesses, academics and other similar NGOs to campaign for women’s
rights and equality in all aspects of life.
 Since our formation in 2008 we focused on delivering informative and life
changing projects for women in the UK as well as East and North Africa.
Our projects include workshops, seminars and training sessions to educate
women on aspects such as how to become successful entrepreneurs, the
dangers of female genital mutilation, domestic violence as well as how to
enhance their skills with the aim of becoming professionals in many
different fields.
What We Do
 Our projects aim to empower women through education, knowledge sharing,
advice and capacity building. We focus on four main areas, Women in Business,
Women and Health, Learning for Women and Gender equality. We also work
with women, men, and youth, community leaders, civil society, the media and
politicians in an effort to change discriminatory laws and practices and promote
women’s advancement in all aspects of public and private life.
 Many of our programmes have had a remarkable impact on the lives of women
in our countries of operations. Through our ‘Say No To FGM’ campaign
hundreds of women became aware of the health dangers associated with female
genital mutilation. Through our ‘Women & Business Programme’ we have
helped female entrepreneurs to fulfil their potential and become better leaders
and managers. Our suggestions and recommendations have resulted in direct
changes to policies and influenced decision makers. And through our ‘Women in
Leadership’ programmes we have campaigned for women’s inclusion in policy
making of several countries.
