HSLT Konzepte
• HSLT koordiniert drei unabhängige Ressourcen:
• Virtuelle Server
• Netzwerk-Adressen
• Storage Volumes

Bei einem neuen Request wird ein virtueller Server
zu einem oder mehreren Netzwerk-Adressen und einem
oder mehreren Storage Volumes zugeordnet

• Das birgt gleich mehrere Vorteile:
• Schnellere Recovery von Ausfällen – austauschen ist billiger
als reparieren:
- Alte fehlerhafte VM wird durch eine neue VM auf anderer Hardware
ersetzt und nur die Netz- und Storage-Ressourcen neu zugeordnet

Drastische Vereinfachung von Patch, Image und Change Management:
- Neue Versionen können einfach eingebracht werden, und alte Versionen
bei Problemen schnell und einfach wiederhergestellt werden
- Server können restarted werden und bekommen ihre vorherigen Storage
Volumes und IP's wieder zugeordnet um schnell ihren Zustand
wiederherzustellen

Konzepte für das Segmentieren von Cloud-Ressourcen
• Cloud Group
– Repräsentiert einen Hypervisor (z.B. ESX) oder Hypervisor Manager (z.B. HSLT,
VMControl, vCenter)
– Eine SCP-Instanz kann auch mehrere Cloud Groups verwalten
