2. THE INTERNATIONAL COACH FEDERATION
The International Coach Federation (ICF) with over 16,500 members in 90 countries is the
leading global organisation dedicated to advancing the coaching profession.
The ICF mission is « to advance the art, science and practice of professional coaching » by :
- Establishing a code of ethics signed and respected by all our members
- Setting high professional standards through an independent system of certification
- Building a network of credentialed coaches
- Creating a dynamic of research to support the development of the coaching field
through international conferences and working committees
We exist to support and advance the coaching profession through programs and standards
supported by our members and to be an authoritative source on coaching information and
research for the public.
This year the French Chapter of the ICF is proud to present:
The ICF European Coaching Conference of 2010
June 17th-19th in Paris, France
This conference will bring together diverse experts from the fields of the Arts and Sciences to
enrich the continued development of the coaching profession. Inspired by their creative
processes, research and accomplishments the coaches participating in this conference will
contribute to the cross fertilisation resulting from an Open Space format designed to enhance
collective knowledge.
The interdependence inherent in globalisation has placed interpersonal skills at the forefront
of today’s required competences. Be it through cross-cultural projects, collaborating
organisations or merging businesses, people are required to adapt to and leverage elements
coming from diverse systems.
We are convinced that the coaching profession has an important role to play in this global
economic and social development.
The coaching profession has been recognised as a powerful catalyst of potential in this
fluctuating environment through our ability to accompany individuals and businesses as they
develop the interpersonal skills necessary to connect to their inner strength, their context and
their clear objectives.
The ICF-ECC 2010 will be an opportunity for our coaching community to practice the
interaction and cooperation required of our clients as we seek new knowledge and innovative
strategies to facilitate client development in a globalised context.
